1. Book During Cooler Months
The best time for desert safaris is between October and April when temperatures are pleasant. Avoid summer months when temperatures can exceed 45°C.
2. Choose Morning or Evening
Morning safaris offer cooler temperatures and golden sunrise views, while evening safaris include stunning sunsets and traditional entertainment.
3. Dress Appropriately
Wear light, loose cotton clothing and closed-toe shoes. Bring a light jacket for evening safaris as desert temperatures drop significantly after sunset.
4. Protect Yourself from the Sun
Apply high SPF sunscreen, wear sunglasses, and bring a hat or scarf to protect your face from sun and sand.
5. Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water before and during your safari. Most tours provide water, but bring extra just in case.
